The Only Constant is Change.
Once again Old School must announce the departure of a band member. Chris, our bass player has found it necessary to step away from music. Chris was a valued and integral member of the band for three years. His talent, skill, knowledge and most of all, his presence will be missed.
A Door Closes... A Window Opens.
Chris's departure was as sudden as it was unexpected and left us a bit of a bind. Luckily, Steve, our drummer knew of a bass player who might be able to fill in. Roy practiced with us on extremely short notice and played a gig a few days later. His knowledge and experience, not to mention his familiarity with Steve, made the transition go far more smoothly than anyone could have expected. A short time later we all agreed that he should be asked to join us on a permanent basis.
We all settled in quickly together and after only a short time we moved on to learn new material. Change is rarely easy but sometimes it can lead to new perspective, just outside the window.
